One of the symbols of Göynük, the Victory Tower was built on a hill overlooking the district in 1923 by the first District Governor of the Republic era, Hurşit Bey. The Victory Tower, built in hexagonal stone foundation and three-story wooden mansion architecture, was constructed as a monumental work to immortalize the achievements of the War of Independence.
