About This PhotoThe Story Behind

The nickname of Isla Ballestas is "The Galapagos of the Poor Man." The reason for this name is that it offers an experience similar to the ecological diversity you can only see in the Galapagos Islands. After a fast boat ride of about 40 minutes from Paracas, you reach Isla Ballestas, which promises you an open-air museum consisting of penguins, dolphins, sea lions, and countless birds. If you are prone to motion sickness, it's a good idea to take some medication.
