Bu Fotoğraf HakkındaHikayesi

I took this picture on a day when the air was crisp and the waters were still, reflecting the cityscape of Zurich like a mirror. The Grossmünster, an iconic twin-towered church, stands as a testament to Zurich's historical significance and architectural beauty. This Romanesque-style Protestant church is one of the four major churches in the city, and according to legend, it was founded by Charlemagne.

The sky was exceptionally clear, allowing the sunlight to enhance the colors and textures of the buildings. I remember the serene atmosphere as I captured the shot, with the gentle flight of a seagull adding life to the scene. The Münsterbrücke, the bridge in the foreground, connected me to centuries of history as it has been doing for the many who've crossed it since its completion in 1838.

Looking at the reflection on the Limmat River, it was as if the city's history was being recounted on its surface. It was a moment where everything stood still, and I was able to capture the essence of Zurich's old town – its calmness, its grandeur, and its story.
