About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this photo on a quiet evening stroll through Budapest. This city always feels alive, especially at night when everything is lit up in such a magical way. The image shows the famous Chain Bridge, one of the most iconic sights in Budapest. I remember setting up my Canon EOS 7D and using the EF24-105mm lens to capture the glowing lights reflecting on the Danube. This bridge, which connects Buda and Pest, was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Hungary and opened in 1849. It's a wonderful piece of engineering and architecture. In the background, you can spot the majestic St. Stephen's Basilica, which adds a special charm to the scene with its beautifully illuminated towers. The combination of these landmarks really highlights the rich history and vibrant energy of Budapest. I find it fascinating how a city can tell its stories through such incredible sights. Shooting at night brings out a different character in the city, and I love capturing that unique vibe.
