About This PhotoThe Story Behind

I took this photo at the Peterhof Palace in Russia, a place known for its impressive fountains and stunning gardens. This statue is part of the Grand Cascade, a massive water feature that draws crowds from all over the world. I used my Canon EOS 7D for this shot. It was a bright day, which helped highlight the gilded details of the statue. The Grand Cascade is a pretty amazing sight, with over 140 fountains and water spouts, making it one of the most expansive fountain ensembles in the world. The background features some of the palace's iconic architecture, creating a beautiful mix of art and nature. Peterhof is often referred to as the Russian Versailles, and it's easy to see why with its opulence and major architectural features. I love how the water in the background creates a dynamic feel in the photo, adding a sense of movement to the stillness of the sculpture.
