About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I snapped this photo during my trip to Khai Nok Island, located in Phru Nai, Thailand. This little paradise is known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. You can see a traditional long-tail boat resting on the calm water, a common sight in this region, which gives it a very local touch.
The island is small but offers a lot. Its beaches are perfect for relaxing, and the shallow waters are great for snorkeling. Many visitors love to take a break here, enjoying the simple pleasures of island life. Behind the boat, you can spot some of the rustic huts where locals might offer snacks and drinks to tourists passing by.
In this shot, I used my Canon EOS 7D with an EF-S17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM lens. This lens was ideal for capturing the wide view of the island and the boat, letting me showcase the expanse of the sky and sea together. The weather was perfect, with plenty of light and just the right amount of clouds to add texture to the sky.
Khai Nok Island is just a short boat ride away from Phuket, making it a popular day trip destination. It's a fantastic spot if you're into photography, thanks to its natural beauty and the vibrancy of colors everywhere you look. This trip gave me a new appreciation for the simplicity and charm of island life.
