About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this shot on a peaceful morning walk in Tambon Choeng Thale, Thailand. There’s something really calming about empty beach chairs, sitting under colorful umbrellas, just waiting for people to come and enjoy the day. This scene, part of my Phuket gallery, looks across the sand out to the Andaman Sea. The vibrant colors of the umbrellas stand out against the soft blues and greens of the sea and sky. What I love about this scene is how everything feels so serene, yet alive with color.
Tambon Choeng Thale is a beautiful spot, known for its quiet beaches and relaxed atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you can just unwind, away from the usual hustle and bustle. When I was there, the weather was perfect, with just a few clouds in the sky adding some texture without blocking the sun.
For this photo, I used my Canon EOS 7D with the EF-S17-55mm lens. The wide-angle lens let me capture the whole scene with all its colors and space. It felt important to include the entire line of umbrellas to emphasize the peaceful repetition and the welcoming feeling they create.
If you ever find yourself in Phuket, this is a perfect spot to relax and soak up the beauty of the sea. It's moments like these that remind me why I love capturing these places. Every picture tells a story, and sometimes the simplest scenes can say the most.
