About This PhotoThe Story Behind

I shot this photo during my trip to Venice, Italy. It was an overcast day, perfect for strolling through the narrow alleyways of the city. What really caught my eye here was how the buildings seem to lean into each other as they meet at the canal. The subtle colors of the aged brick and plaster give the scene a warm, timeless feel. I love the contrast between the worn-out textures of the walls and the fresh flowers lining the windowsills. I used my SONY DSC-R1 to capture the details of the architecture. This spot was just one of many serene corners I found in Venice, a city known for its stunning canals and unique layout. The canals aren't just pretty; they've been the main routes for transport in the city for centuries. It added so much character to this quiet little slice of Venice.
