About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I snapped this photo during my visit to Arashiyama Park in Kyoto, right at the peak of Sakura season. The park is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, known for its stunning cherry blossoms. Walking along the stone path, I was surrounded by these beautiful pink and white hues. It felt like stepping into a serene, natural painting. I used my FUJIFILM X-T5 with the XF16-80mm lens to capture this scene, taking advantage of the wide-angle to include as much of the Sakura trees as possible. This part of Kyoto is especially charming in spring when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. Fun fact: Kyoto’s cherry blossom viewing, or "hanami," is a cherished tradition that brings people together to enjoy these fleeting flowers. It's a special time that marks the start of a new season. The Arashiyama Park area, with its mix of traditional scenery and natural beauty, offers a peaceful escape from the bustling city life nearby.
