About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this shot of Ponte Vecchio during my visit to Florence. The bridge is one of those iconic spots that you just have to see in person. Built back in the medieval period, it's known as the oldest bridge in Florence. I was standing by the river when I captured this, and it was around nightfall. The way the lights reflect off the Arno River creates a calm, beautiful scene. I used my SONY DSC-R1 camera to freeze this moment. The old shops and buildings all lit up add such a unique charm, showing both history and everyday life combined. If you ever find yourself near coordinates 43.768047, 11.253143, take the time to enjoy this view. It's fascinating to think that centuries ago, this bridge was bustling with butchers and merchants, and now, it's an emblem of the city's rich past.
