I took this photo in Juneau, the capital of Alaska, on a bright, clear day that felt more like summer than what you’d expect from this rugged northern state. From the harbor, you can see the colorful facades of the waterfront buildings standing in cheerful contrast to the deep greens of the forested mountain rising steeply behind them.
