About This PhotoThe Story Behind

I took this photo during my trip to Ronda, a charming town in southern Spain that sits atop a dramatic gorge. This view shows why Ronda is so fascinating to me. The town almost looks like it's teetering right on the edge of these cliffs. Ronda is famous for its stunning location and the deep El Tajo gorge that divides the new town from the old town. It's quite a sight to see.

Using my Canon EOS 60D and EF24-105mm lens, I tried to capture the unique setting. The lens allowed me to frame the landscape beautifully, balancing the old buildings with the natural surroundings. The lush greenery contrasts nicely with the rocky cliffs, which look particularly dramatic under the clear blue sky. I didn’t include direct sunlight in the picture to keep things evenly lit.

One of the things that really caught my eye was the mixture of architectural styles. You'll notice the old stone structures blending with newer buildings. It's a place where history and modern life meet in a really interesting way. There's also the iconic Puente Nuevo bridge, which wasn't in this frame, but it's worth mentioning as a must-see if you're ever there.

Ronda also has a rich history with bullfighting. It's home to one of the oldest bullrings in Spain, the Plaza de Toros de Ronda. This tradition is something that still plays a big part in the town's culture. Even if you're not into bullfighting, it's fascinating to explore the history here.

Whether you're an architecture fan or just love beautiful landscapes, Ronda is a place that offers so much to see and explore. I hope this photo gives you a glimpse of its beauty and maybe inspires you to visit someday.
