About This PhotoThe Story Behind

Standing on Tibidabo, I captured this breathtaking view of Mont Serrat. The architectural detail of the statue in the foreground is a striking feature of the Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, a beautiful church that crowns the mountain. Tibidabo is famous for its panoramic views over Barcelona and its surrounding regions. As the sun dips below the horizon, the scene is bathed in a warm golden light, enhancing the lush greenery blanketing the hills. The Telecommunication Tower of Collserola rises dramatically in the distance, its modernity contrasting with the historical architecture of the foreground. Designed by the British architect Sir Norman Foster, the tower was completed in 1991 and is a key communication hub. In the background, the city of Barcelona slowly becomes a silhouette against the fading light, with its urban sprawl gently merging into the Mediterranean Sea. I wanted to convey the serenity and majesty of a place where nature and human achievement coexist harmoniously. The play of light and shadow, combined with the crispness of the evening air, makes standing here a truly unforgettable experience.
