About This PhotoThe Story Behind

I took this photo during a stroll through the charming streets of Granada, Spain. It's nighttime, and the warm glow of the street lamps casts interesting shadows on the old cobblestone streets, which I love. This particular street is in the Albayzín district, a place famous for its winding lanes and historic vibe.

The Albayzín is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Granada, and you can really feel the history here. It was a bit tricky to capture the scene just right because of the low light, but my Canon EOS 60D, paired with the EF50mm f/1.4 lens, did a great job. The lens's capability for shallow depth of field helped me focus on the details, like the texture of the stones and the warm glow of the light.

While walking these streets, it's easy to imagine the centuries of stories that have unfolded in this area. I enjoyed the quiet and the subtle play of light and shadow that gives every corner its own character. There's a kind of peace here at night when the crowds thin out, and the city slows down.

Street photography at night can be challenging, but spots like this make it rewarding. It's a moment frozen in time, showing a more still and serene side of Granada that you might not see during the day when tourists flood the streets. If you ever get a chance to visit, a nighttime walk through the Albayzín is a must.
