About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this photo in Munich, at the English Garden, which is one of the largest urban parks in the world. It's a peaceful spot where you can find various birds, including these two elegant swans. I was walking around with my Canon EOS 7D when I noticed them on a pond. The swans were gracefully floating, creating this almost perfect symmetry that I just had to capture. I used a Canon EF24-105mm lens, which was ideal for framing them with the surrounding reflective water surface. It's incredible how their white feathers stood out against the darker water, creating a calming contrast that immediately caught my attention. The English Garden is such a tranquil escape in the middle of the city, offering not just lovely views but also a sense of serenity as you wander around. While standing there, I couldn't help but appreciate the simple beauty and grace of nature that these swans brought to the scene. Shooting this reminded me of how a single moment of stillness can become quite a captivating subject. I love returning to this spot whenever I'm in Munich as it never fails to offer something beautiful and new.
