About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this photo during my trip to Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, Thailand. It captures a peaceful moment inside one of the city's stunning temples. The room is bustling with visitors and locals, all gathered to admire the intricate golden altar at the center. The walls are adorned with vibrant murals, which add a rich tapestry of colors and stories to the scene.
The temple was lively, with people quietly observing or praying. I felt a sense of calmness despite the many visitors around. Shooting this required a bit of patience due to the crowd. I used my Canon EOS 7D with a 17-55mm lens, which helped me capture the scene just as I wanted. The wide lens allowed me to include the grand atmosphere of the place.
Something fascinating about these temples in Thailand is that they are often adorned with beautiful artwork that tells stories of local legends and religious tales. The ceiling here is particularly impressive, drawing everyone's eyes upwards with its detailed artwork.
The people in the photo show a mix of tourists and locals, which I think adds an interesting dynamic. It’s always amazing to see how such places bring together people from all around the world. This shot is a little glimpse into the heart of cultural and religious life in Thailand.
