A Lonely Bird By The River

I took this photo during a stroll along the riverbank in Sankt-Peterburg, Russia. There was something peaceful about this lone bird just resting there, seemingly lost in its own world. The backdrop is a bit hazy, but you can see the iconic dome of St. Isaac's Cathedral, a landmark that's always impressive no matter how many times you see it. The Canon EOS 7D helped me capture the scene nicely, bringing out the details in the feathers and the soft colors of the evening sky. It’s moments like these that I love about photography—when you can catch something simple yet meaningful.
