I captured this stunning photo of the sunset at Kadıköy Lighthouse. As you can see, the sky is filled with vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple, painting a dramatic backdrop against the silhouette of the city skyline in the distance. The lighthouse stands resolute on the right, its white structure sharply contrasting against the darker elements of the rocks and water. I used a long exposure to smooth the water’s surface, creating this dreamy effect where sea and sky blend seamlessly. The clouds appear to be in motion, lending a dynamic sense to the composition. The lighting at this time, which was late afternoon, allowed me to harness the natural colors without any need for filters. Setting my camera's exposure to a slower shutter speed, I ensured the illumination from the distant city lights was well captured, adding depth and interest to the background. Standing there, with the cool breeze brushing against me and the gentle hum of the sea in the background, this moment felt timeless.
