About This PhotoThe Story Behind
This shot is from my trip to Narok County in Kenya, where I had the chance to spend some time in the wild. I captured these Grant's gazelles grazing peacefully, using my Canon EOS 7D with a 100-400mm lens. The landscape in Narok is really something special. It's part of the Maasai Mara, which is known for its breathtaking wildlife and vast savannahs. It's fascinating how these gazelles blend into the grasslands so naturally. Their slender bodies and graceful horns make them seem almost like they’re part of the landscape. I used a telephoto lens to get a bit of compression in the shot, which helps to highlight the gazelles and the tree in the background. The weather was perfect that day, with soft natural light, adding a gentle touch to the scene. Spending time there was a great reminder of how diverse and beautiful our planet is. Narok is also home to the Maasai people, known for their rich culture and traditions. It feels like every corner of this place has a story to tell.
