About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this shot at München's Hauptbahnhof, one of the biggest and busiest train stations in Germany. You can see an ICE train on the left, which is one of those super-fast ones Germany is famous for. As you look at the photo, you can really sense the hustle and bustle of daily commuters and travelers. People are always in a rush here, with everyone on their way to somewhere else.
What I loved about capturing this moment was using my Canon EOS 7D with a wide-angle lens. It really lets me show the breadth and open space inside the station, yet you can see the detail of the train on the left. The station itself is like a small city, full of shops and food stalls. I remember grabbing a pretzel while I was there – there’s nothing like a fresh, soft pretzel in Germany!
If you ever find yourself at Hauptbahnhof, take a moment to look at the architecture. It’s a blend of the old German charm with modern efficiency. It might just be a train station, but it tells a lot about the speed and energy of life in Munich. Plus, it's in a great location, not far from the heart of the city, making it a perfect starting point for exploring.
