About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I shot this photo when I was in Singapore, capturing a vibrant night scene. The iconic Marina Bay Sands is the star here, brilliantly lit up against the night sky. You can see the laser beams shooting out from its roof, creating a striking visual. Being there, right by the water, and watching these colorful lights reflecting on the surface was pretty mesmerizing. I used my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with a wide-angle lens to get as much of the scene as possible in the frame. Did you know that the Marina Bay Sands is famous for having a rooftop infinity pool? It's quite the architectural wonder and a major attraction in Singapore. In the image, you can also spot the ArtScience Museum on the left, which is another fascinating building with its lotus-inspired design. Shooting at night can sometimes be tricky, but the mix of artificial lights and reflections creates a beautiful balance. Every time I look at this shot, I remember the energy of the city and how the light show added a magical touch to the atmosphere.
