About This PhotoThe Story Behind
Here’s a moment from my trip to Narok County, Kenya. I captured this scene with my Canon EOS 7D. It’s a simple shot of a buffalo with a bird comfortably perched on its back. This was taken in the open fields where buffaloes are a common sight, often accompanied by these kinds of birds. The interaction between them is interesting—they really seem to look out for each other. The telephoto lens helped me get a good view without disturbing them. Narok County is known for its stunning landscapes and rich wildlife. It's part of the Maasai Mara, one of the most famous national reserves in Africa. Being there early in the morning is quite an experience, with the light just beginning to touch the plains. The bird sitting calmly adds a peaceful vibe to the photo, which I thought was worth capturing. It reminds me of how animals often work together in the wild, each playing a part in their ecosystem. This photo is a simple reminder of that harmony.
