About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this photo during my trip to Narok County, Kenya. It’s a beautiful region, known for its wildlife, especially in the Masai Mara area. This ostrich was casually strolling through the open plains when I captured it. I used my Canon EOS 7D paired with a 100-400mm lens, which let me get a nice clear shot without disturbing the bird. What struck me about this ostrich was its grace and size. Did you know that ostriches are the largest birds on Earth? They can run really fast too, up to about 70 km/h, thanks to their powerful legs. This particular one seemed calm and was enjoying a peaceful moment under the sun. The open fields in the background add a nice touch, perfectly capturing the vastness of the area. It's moments like these that remind me why I love photographing wildlife. There’s always something new and surprising about each animal and scene.
