Elephant's Path

I took this photo during a trip to Narok County in Kenya. It's one of those moments where nature just does its thing, and I get to be there with my camera. The shot captures a small herd of elephants just wandering through the open savannah. There's something peaceful about watching these incredible animals in their natural habitat.

Narok County is home to part of the famous Mara ecosystem. The vast landscapes here are really something else, spreading as far as the eye can see. It's a place where you can truly appreciate the freedom and space that the wildlife has. I used my Canon EOS 60D with an EF24-105mm lens for this one. The wide-angle really helps get all that open space and distant hills into the frame, giving a sense of the elephants' expansive home.

You can even spot a lone tree standing tall amongst the grass. It's a classic savannah view where the trees seem perfectly scattered and not in a rush to grow anywhere fast. Shooting in Kenya is always a treat because there's always so much going on around you. Whether it's the elephants or the birds flying above, there's movement and life everywhere.

What really struck me during this shoot was the simplicity of life in such a wild setting. Watching these elephants reminded me how nature has its rhythm that just goes on whether we’re there to witness it or not. It’s a privilege to capture and share these moments.
