About This PhotoThe Story Behind
Golyazi is a historic city with Roman origins back from centuries ago. The place has also been known as Apolyont, Apolloniatai, or Apolloniada during ancient Greek times. Golyazi, which is on an island of its own, is very popular among especially photography communities. Boats driven by the local fisherman along with the trees whose roots are under the water provide excellent photographic opportunities. I visited Golyazi with a daily photography tour from Istanbul. When you arrive, you smell the bakery as soon as you sit down, enjoy the coffee shops and snacks available. If you are close to Bursa, please do visit it.
