Kaputas Beach - Kalkan

I visited Kaputas Beach in Kalkan, and this photo captures a vibrant summer day by the Mediterranean Sea. The pristine sands stretch alongside the turquoise waters that gently kiss the shoreline. A traditional Turkish gulet sails in the calm blue sea, providing a focal point against the vastness of the water. The sky is a clear blue, matching the sea's hue, an example of nature's simple yet profound beauty.

In composing this picture, I emphasized the contrast between the bright sandy beach and the deep blue sea. The natural rock formations frame the scene on the left, creating a captivating juxtaposition between the ruggedness of the cliffs and the smoothness of the sand. Visitors scattered across the beach add life and scale to the image. Some relax under colorful umbrellas, while others cool off in the inviting waves.

Kaputas Beach is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, located near the coastal road between Kaş and Kalkan. Its secluded bay has long been a favored spot for both locals and visitors, offering tranquility and breathtaking views. The beach is nestled between steep cliffs, accessed by a series of steps down from the road, contributing to its secluded charm.

The light was harsh but added a brilliance to the colors – the blues were more profound, and the sand gleamed under the sun. I aimed to capture the essence of a peaceful beach day, where simple pleasures make memorable moments.
