About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this photo of the Menton Marina during my travels in the beautiful south of France. Menton is a charming town right near the Italian border. It's known for its sunny weather and colorful buildings that line the hills. You can see in the photo how the warm colors of the homes contrast nicely with the blue of the Mediterranean Sea. I love the way the historic architecture stands out, especially the tall church tower, which is a real landmark here.
The colorful buildings are nestled against the hills, making the town look like it's been painted straight onto the landscape. I used my Canon EOS 7D with a 17-55mm lens here. It helped me capture the wide view of the marina and the town behind it. This setup allowed me to show the detail in the boats in the foreground, while also getting the whole hillside in the frame.
Menton is sometimes called the 'Pearl of France,' and it's easy to see why when you're there. The mix of French and Italian influences is everywhere, from the food to the architecture. The marina itself is always bustling, with boats coming and going. It's the perfect spot to just sit and watch the world go by, surrounded by the stunning colors and the relaxing vibe of this coastal town.
