About This PhotoThe Story Behind
I took this photo during my trip to Gordes, a stunning hillside village in Provence, France. It's known for its charm and beautiful views over the valley below. I shot this using my Canon EOS 7D with a 17-55mm lens. The wide-angle helped capture the expansive view. The buildings look so perfectly nestled into the cliffside, don’t they? The natural blend of stone houses and greenery makes this place feel like a step back in time. The trees in the foreground add such a nice pop of color with their autumn leaves. Gordes is packed with narrow, winding streets, and getting lost there is half the fun. Around every corner, you find amazing views like this one. I love how the terracotta roofs contrast with the lush greenery. If you ever find yourself in Provence, Gordes is definitely a must-see. It’s one of those places where you can just wander around for hours, soaking in the atmosphere. The view stretches out to the Luberon mountains in the distance—a reminder of how picturesque this whole region really is.
