About This PhotoThe Story Behind

I took this photo while standing by the Tunca Bridge in Edirne, capturing the calm reflection of the structure in the river below. The light was gentle, gracefully illuminating the stone arches which tell the tale of Ottoman architecture. Built in the 17th century during the reign of Sultan Mahmud II, this bridge has played a crucial role in connecting different parts of Edirne, a city of historical crossroads. As I observed, the sky was a clear blue, accented with fluffy clouds that mirrored wonderfully in the still waters beneath. The nearby minaret and dome reflect the city's rich cultural intersection of Islam and architecture. Framing the bridge within the scene allowed me to emphasize the symmetry, highlighted by the soft afternoon sun. Some bare trees flanking the bridge hint at the serenity of a late autumn day. The overall composition reflects a harmony of history and nature, reminiscent of Edirne’s timeless beauty. Although I couldn't retrieve any EXIF data, the vivid memory of this visual tranquility remains with me.
