About This PhotoThe Story Behind

I took this photo during my trip to Maui, Hawaii. This is Twin Falls, a beautiful spot along the Hana Highway that's pretty easy to reach. It's one of those places where you can just sit and let the world melt away for a bit. The water gently tumbles over the rocks, and there's a lovely little pool at the bottom. I used my Canon EOS 7D Mark II and a wide-angle lens to capture the scene, which really helped me get the whole scene in one shot. The area is surrounded by a mix of lush greenery and tall trees, making it feel like you've stumbled into a hidden paradise. This spot is popular with tourists, but if you go early in the morning or later in the afternoon, you can often have it to yourself. Nearby, there are also small fruit stands where you can grab a smoothie made from fresh local fruit to enjoy by the falls. It’s nature at its simple best, with the soothing sound of water and a bit of shade from the tall trees above. I notice how the sunlight filters through the leaves, casting interesting patterns of light and shadow on the ground. It's a refreshing spot and a nice place to pause on the way to Hana. If you happen to be in Maui, it's definitely worth the stop.
