Mirage

I took this shot at the enchanting oasis town of Huacachina in Peru. It’s a small village surrounded by vast sand dunes and has this beautiful lagoon right in the middle. It’s almost like a desert mirage, hence why I named this photo 'Mirage.' The green waters of the lake with a duck peacefully gliding across offer such a contrast to the surrounding arid desert. It’s quite a sight to see this lush greenery popping up amidst the sand. The tall palm trees lining the lagoon reflect perfectly on the lake's calm surface. When I visited, it was such a peaceful place, with a handful of local eateries and shops around. I used my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with a 24-105mm lens for this shot. The wide angle was perfect to capture the entire scene, from the reflections in the water to the towering dunes in the background. Huacachina is a popular spot for people who love sandboarding or just enjoy the unique vibe of a desert oasis. I was lucky to catch the light just right for the reflections, and it felt like a special moment to share.
